It was an early morning getting up at 4:30am but well worth the
trip. We got to Muskrat lake
around 5:45am and had the lines wet by 6am. We were using the downriggers with
spoons down 35 feet over about 80 feet of water. We were trolling between 1.7 and
2.0MPH. The first fish hit around
6:45am. She measured in at 30.5”
and had a girth of 18”, making her roughly 12.35lbs, based on the weight
calculators I checked online. She
hit a gold and silver spoon.

Not too long after my brother was trolling with a blue, silver,
and red spoon and landed this guy, 30” with a girth of about 16”,putting her
just over 10lbs.

All in all a great day on the water…any day with 2 lakers over
10lbs if a great day on the water, especially after having been out there for
only 3 hours!
