I went down to the show this past Saturday as a way to get out with my wife, daughter, and a couple of friends. I had no intentions at buying a boat, nor did we, but my wife did really take a hard look at the Legend 20 Xcalibur. After a few minutes of checking it all out my wife was throwing the idea out of us buying one. The way she looked at it was that if this boat would shut me up for 10 years then it's worth it to see if we could make the numbers work. We looked at the admin fees and prep fees, and motor upgrade, from a 90 HP-2 Stroke to a 4 stroke and decided that it would be close to something we could realistically afford.
We left the show and let it marinade for the rest of the day and overnight and decided that we would look at different boats and sizes throughout the summer and go from there. Should we find somethign that we really like we would wait until next spring to see if we could A) sell the boat we currently have, and B) could find the boat we wanted in the rpice range that we would feel comfortable in.
So, nothing for now on that front but I may also write-up my thoughts on the boatswe check out as we investigate it a lit
